International Writers' Residency - Château de Lavigny

From late June until late July, Luke Fischer has a writers' residency at the Château de Lavigny, Switzerland, to work on completing the manuscript of a new book of poems. On 17 July there will be a public reading featuring the five residents during this period (http://www.chateaudelavigny.ch/readings/). Before this he will be giving a reading and conference presentation at Oxford University, as well as readings in London and Kraków, Poland (more details).

The Language of Water: Poetry Event at H2O Water Bar

On the evening of Saturday 13 February Luke Fischer will be reading poems and talking about poetry, water and ecology with Brook Emery, Peter Minter, Kate Middleton, and Deborah Bird Rose at the Paddington Reservoir Gardens. The poetry event 'The Language of Water' is a collaboration between POEMS NB and Janet Laurence's art installation H2O: Water Bar. Poetry Reading at the Internationales Literaturfestival Berlin - 12 September, 2015

Book Launch: The Poet as Phenomenologist: Rilke and the New Poems

On the evening of Thursday 18 June, Luke Fischer's book The Poet as Phenomenologist: Rilke and the New Poems (Bloomsbury, 2015) will be launched by visiting philosopher Professor Eckart Förster at the Goethe-Institut Sydney. A number of poets – Judith Beveridge, Peter Boyle, Jennifer Harrison, and Vivian Smith – will also discuss connections between Rilke's poetry and their own writing.
